Dear Families and Caregivers,

We hope all our families are enjoying the start of summer and are staying well.

We wanted to provide a brief update on the status of reopening. Daycare staff have been working hard to prepare the space, making changes as necessary to meet directives and guidelines from Toronto Children Services, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education. As part of this process we are working on updating daycare policies and procedures to adapt to the new circumstances in which the daycare will operate.

Our current target timeline to reopen is the beginning of August, however, there are several factors that may impact this including the completion of playground improvements, which were initiated during the closure period, as well as the implementation of new health and safety measures. We are also reviewing the survey responses regarding your childcare needs and will be in touch with more information shortly.

As we work through our reopening plan our focus remains the health and safety of your children and our staff. While we appreciate that some families may be in need of our services sooner than August, management will not permit the centre to reopen until all appropriate health and safety measures have been implemented. Rest assured that we are doing our best to get ready for reopening as soon as possible and we are all very excited to see the kids!
